Two Blackberry Android phone Might be produced this year - see reasons

New blackberry devices that runs completely on Android OS is reportedly going to be released soon this year. You can bear in mind that Blackberry had made it clear that they may not be generating any device strolling on blackberry OS anymore.

As stated at the BlackBerry Czech, two Blackberry Android phones would be launched, one complete touch display (Hamburg) even as the other might be physical qwerty buttons (Rome).

The official statement goes like this

The BlackBerry “Hamburg” sits in the mid-range tier and packs an important surprise: the handset will lack the iconic BlackBerry keyboard, using only a touchscreen for input. The Hamburg should arrive no later than the autumn of 2016.

The BlackBerry “Rome” is a bit different, as BBCzech notes that the device will position itself in the premium category. Rumors point out that it will follow in the steps of the BlackBerry Priv, which means that it will sport both a physical keyboard and a touchscreen.

At an interview in India, BlackBerry CEO John Chen also confirmed that sub $400 BlackBerry (Android) phones are going to be released this year 2016. One interesting point he made was the high cost of BlackBerry Priv device which users lamented was too expensive especially for enterprises.

He also added that BlackBerry has picked out 10 countries including India, where their products would be marketed. The full interview can be read

See Specifications of the New Huawei P9 And P9 plus.(Dual Camera Phone)

After long month of speculations, rumors, and alot of leaked images, We Can now say that the Huawei P9 has finally been launched. It was also launched along side the Huawei P9 plus.

The new P9 variants come with dual cameras by Leica. The double 'O' being teased the past weeks are two cameras placed side-by-side, one for color photos and the other one for monochrome. The dual camera setup is innovative because two sensors can capture better images compared to just one. Huawei separated black and white (monochrome) and color into two unique modules. Both come with 12 megapixels.

also read Specifications of
Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus
with 2GB Ram

The smartphone can capture light three times better and offers 50% better contrast. These improvements in specs result to more details and vivid colors of images even when captured in low light situations. Huawei partnered with top brand camera maker Leica to produce the dual camera setup. However, Leica didn't manufacture the cameras. A more appropriate description is that they co-engineered the lenses. You can say the lenses are Leica-branded.

The P9 and P9 Plus differ in many aspects. The P9 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display while the P9 Plus has a bigger 5.5-inch screen. The basic Huawei P9 features a Kirin 955 octa-core chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB onboard storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion, and a 3000mAh battery. A dual SIM option will be available in China. The larger P9 Plus boasts of a 4GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 3400mAh battery.

The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are all cased in a very thin aluminum chassis. They also come with 8MP selfie cameras, fingerprint scanners, and USB-C ports. The smartphones run EMUI 4.1 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Pricing starts at ($683) for the Huawei P9 while the 4GB RAM, 64GB version will be ($740). The slightly larger Huawei P9 Plus will start at ($853).

Airtel lunches a Smart Speedo Data Plan - The More You Surf The more free data you get

Airtel Nigeria has just unveiled another data plan called Airtel Smart Speedo and I must confess that this is one of the major steps taken by Airtel in democratizing data tariff.

How Does it Work?

Smart Speedoo users enjoy low rate in
addition to free data the more they
browse. According to Airtel, “When a
customer uses up to 10mb at 1kobo/kb, Airtel gives him 10mb free. And when his
usage gets to 50mb, the browsing rate drops to 0.5kobo/kb, then he gets 50mb free. When the customer’s usage reaches 100mb, the rate drops further to 0.2kobo/kb and he is given 100mb free,”

See how you can get upto 6Gb with just N2,500 on Airtel

Note that this cycle continues every
month, thereby giving you the FREE
SURF experience. I’m sure you are
smiling already because everybody love
free surf experience.

How Can I Opt in?

Dial *141# and reply with 2 to get the plan rolling.
The more you surf, the more data you
get. Are you ready to experience this

See A Sample Of Ntel 4G LTE Speed With Broadband speedtest

Ntel is new and still gaining ground in the Nigerian telecommunication industry but their main weapon to battle with the likes of MTN, Etisalat, Airtel and glo is their unmatchable 4G LTE Network.

Much has been said about this network and some people have already reserved their own unique SIM card at the Ntel official website but majority are yet to see the Sim card or feel it. Well, someone that had the opportunity to use the 4G LTE features managed to conduct a broadband speed test for the network and here is the outcome.

This result shows its the fastest and most advanced 4G LTE network in Africa. Though i believe the speed will drop when many subscribers start making use of the network as there is going to be traffic
congestion in the network as we experience most times on mtn during the day.

Now you'll value your 4G smartphone or ignore your 3G smartphone. This is the real life 4G LTE and I can’t wait to test run it. How about you?

However one aspect that baffles me is the fee distinction of this phone in Kenya and Nigeria. Even as it's far bought at just $75 in Kenya, here in Nigeria, we're supposed to pay N26,500 to get the device. Although its not that pricey however why have to there be rate
distinction?

Price
In Nigeria N26,500
In Kenya $75

As indicated above, the infinix hot 3 was launched with a price tag of N26,500 . While the price tag seem very affordable, something isn’t just right. Elly, few
days back, gave us a hint via comment stating that the hot 3 has been launched in Kenya with a price tag of $75 (75USD).

I also did some little research and stumbled on a kenya website currently selling the hot 3 x554 smartphone for KSH 7,899. Since i don’t know the current exchange rate, i decided to consult Google and Google said
Kenyan Shilling 7,899 equals to N15,507.79 in Naira.

Okay, i do understand that the exchange rate provided by Google may not be accurate and dollar rate affects the price but then, let’s do some very simple mathematics going by what Elly said.
As at today being the 4th of April, 2016, i made a purchase online and my bank charged me N305 to a dollar. Some banks in Nigeria charge even less. Now, N305 x 75 = N22,875 . If we want to go further by using the black market dollar exchange rate, N320 x 75 = N24,000. The difference may be very little but i don’t think it’s fair. So my question is, why the difference in
price? Are we being cheated?

Could it be that Iphone SE is also water Proof? Watch Video

Apple has in no way cited that any of
its devices is waterproof however this hasn’t stopped humans from seeking to see if
these gadgets might continue to exist being
submerged in water. In the course of the
iPhone SE release , Apple didn’t mention the water-resistant capability of the cellphone as well. YouTuber Zach Straley done a water-proof test at the tool and distinctly, it did continue to exist.

In an uploaded video, the test was
carried out on three Apple devices: the
iPhone 5s, the iPhone 6s and the new iPhone SE. The iPhone 5s gave way
around the 5 minutes mark with signs of water damage on the screen. The iPhone SE and the iPhone 6s continued to work. Sound tests and camera tests were carried out at intervals and everything looked fine.

The devices survived an hour-long water submersion. It should be noted that the iPhone 6s and the iPhone SE were not marketed as waterproof. This video should in no way serve as a guarantee that the devices are fully waterproof. However, the devices should be able to take a splash and still work fine.
