See Photos of Foldable/Bendable Smartphone and Tablet produced by Lenovo

Foldable smartphones and tablets, it looks like they’re coming soon at some point. We’re here at Lenovo Tech World in San Francisco and a lot of cool stuff were announced here, like the Tango-ready PHAB 2 Pro and the shockingly modular Moto Z and Z Force, but the ones we really thought were cool are concepts. Yes, concepts, as in they’re not something we’ll be buying anytime soon – wherein they’ll more than likely incur premium costs when they arrive, due to the new tech they’re employing.

Either way, it really opens the idea of what we’ll potentially see down the road. Now, during a Q & A session with some of the engineers, we got a sneak peek at two foldable devices. The first one being a foldable smartphone, the one shown off during the keynote by YouTuber Meghan McCarthy. When it’s flat, it looks very much like an elongated phone from the front, something that oddly looks out of place if it were placed alongside today’s smartphones.

However, you know something’s up when you look at it from the back. Obviously, there’s more to than just the display being folded, since the chassis itself is bending to match the display. Lenovo’s concept seems practical because as it’s being bent, the interface slowly begins to shift – so that its operation while on your wrist is more appropriate. This isn’t a form factor we’re familiar with, so it’ll be interesting to see how Lenovo will tackle the way various operations we’re familiar with already on something curved.

Lenovo says that folding a display in isn’t a problem, but rather, it’s when you’re bending it out, which is the case here with the smartphone. That’s because of how the glass or whatever is covering the panel itself is being stretched, but from what we can see, it’s using this stretchy plastic looking cover – much like you might see those plastic covers over furniture. You can visibly see that layer, just because it distorts a bit under certain angles.

As for the foldable tablet, it’s pretty neat because it can go from a sizable tablet, to a phablet sized thing by bending it right in the middle. Whereas the phone bends in multiple places throughout the chassis, the tablet simply has its bending points around the middle area. And the same plasticy layer covers the display.

These are some pretty cool concepts, especially when they’re optimized to make them practical when they’re bent – like how the interfaces shift and all. Being concepts, you know that we’re thinking a lot about price, even though we won’t be seeing them anytime soon. We can only imagine them to be pricey, but hey, it’s pretty cool that foldable smartphones and tablets are coming at some point

Who knows how these concept devices will evolve over time, or whether they’ll come to fruition at some timely manner. Regardless, Lenovo’s concepts provides us with a closer look at what are some of the challenges behind making a foldable smartphone. It’s a solid effort, probably requiring additional refinements, before they can certified for consumer sale. Even then, however, you can certainly expect some pricey figures attached to them.

Samsung Says that flexible phones might be ‘right around the corner’

Today at the Rutberg’s Future Mobile conference, the president and CEO of Samsung in North America Gregory Lee claimed that bendable smartphones are “right around the corner.” We’ve heard word that the tech titan is gearing up for flexible displays in 2017, and this may indicate that the Samsung Galaxy X, which is anticipated to be debuted at MWC 2017, may just be bendable. Lee indicated that the company has been working on foldable phones for the last decade, but the only thing that has been keeping them from the market has been prohibitively expensive production costs. Now it seems like manufacturing technology is finally catching up.

We saw two foldable smartphones at Lenovo’s Tech World event yesterday, so it appears like this will be the direction that smartphone development will take in the future. Samsung has previously teased bendable display technology, but we’ve never seen a workable prototype make its way to users’ hands. If Lenovo and Samsung will both be bringing bendable smartphones to the table in 2017, then we can expect some interesting competition in the arena.

What are your thoughts regarding foldable smartphones? Is this a useful utility or just a gimmick that will soon make its way out of the market. Let us know your opinion in the comments below!

hello guys,am here again with another android tutorial on how to double your mtn data via imei tweaking.

for those of you that dont know the meaning of imei tweaking, imei tweaking is just a way of disguising your android smartphone to look like another phone in the eyes of your network providers, example you can make your tecno smrtphone look like infinix phones and collect the bonus meant strictly for infinix users.

Having said this in this tutorial i am going to teach you guys how to double your mtn data, that is when you buy 1GB from mtn you get extra 1GB in return, isn't that nice? let move on.

before we continue kindly note that it is not all android smartphone that are eligible for imei tweaking, the android phones eligible for imei tweaking are called MTK devices, and i m going to list some of it here.

=> TECNO
=> INFINIX
=> GIONEE

these are the 3 phones am very sure of their imei can be tweaked.

Requirement/tools need for tweaking

=> chamelephon.apk (download from playstore of google it or Download it Here
)

=> your android phone

=> IMEI NO first 11 digits (35226207076)
=> and most importantly, your medulla oblongata(lol).

Procedures and steps to change your devices imei UNIVERSAL METHOD (Android V4.0 and above)

=> download and install chamelephon application, it is a straight forward application that unlike does not require any Navigations like mobile uncle and MTK Eng app. open it you will be welcomed with a screen, the first box contains your sim1 IMEI, while the second box contains your sim2 IMEI.(make sure you write down your original imei numbers before proceeding.)

=> now copy out the 11 digits imei number that is above(35226207076) and paste it in the desired sim port, either sim 1 or 2, depending where your mtn sim is, now since it 11 digits add 4 more random numbers to make it 15 digits, now you will notice the X/error sign by the right side of the box, which indicates that the imei is not yet valid

now since it 15 digits and a valid imei NO is 16 digits, now start adding number from 0-9 until you see the success/mark sign beside it (e.g if you add 0 to make it 16 and the arrow does not mark good, delete d 0 and put 1, if it does not mark good deletew the 1 and add 2, do it like this until u see the arrow sing showing good like d SS below)

=> after you have gotten valid imei click "Apply new IMEIs" and wait for it to apply

=> activate your phone to AIRPLANE Mode and deactivate your phone from airplane mode again, and you have successfully changed your device imei.. dial *#06# to check the imei.

=> wait for a welcome msg from MTN.

=> then you can buy any MTN data bundle opf your choice, and the data will be doubled for you immedietely. see ss below.

so if you have any other complain or request kindly use the comment box below.. and dont forget to share this post to others.

How to hide files, photos and apps on Your Android

How easy would it be for someone to assume your identity if they had control of your smartphone? Depending on how elaborate your internal defenses are, they would be able to text people as you, post to your Facebook account, maybe even access your bank accounts or make purchases in your name.

Technology has made these strange little devices a part of our identity. The idea that smartphones have become an extension of the self is not a new one. Just as you disclose parts of yourself to some people yet hide them from others, the desire to tuck away files, photos, or applications on your smartphone is a popular one.

Maybe you’ve got some pictures that you’d really prefer your mother not stumble across if she needs to borrow your phone. Maybe you have some private documents that contain sensitive personal information. Maybe you have apps that aren’t quite ‘child friendly’ enough for you to feel safe handing over your phone to your nephew so he can play Angry Birds.

Whatever the reason, there are plenty of options when it comes to hiding content on your phone. We’re going to look at a few of them here and discuss the benefits and risks of each.

1. How to Hide Files

Most Android devices don’t actually have a stock ability to hide stuff, so no matter what you’re looking to do, you’re probably going to have to resort to third-party apps. Let’s start with the basics and learn to hide some files in general.

A solid app for this task is File Hide Expert. It’s a free app, and it lets you hide and unhide any file on your phone with ease. To get this up and running, first download the app from the Google Play Store. When you open the app, you’ll receive a message indicating that the hidden file list is empty. Tap the folder icon in the top-right of the screen to begin hiding files.

The app works like a basic file management app. As long as you know where the file is located, you can hide it regardless of type. Check off any files you want to hide, and then head back to your main screen.

From here, hitting “Hide All” will spirit away all of your files, making them inaccessible to snooping phone borrowers. They’ll no longer appear in other file managers or galleries. To bring them back, simply open File Hide Expert again and tap “Restore All.”

Of course, this hardly keeps your content safe. After all, anyone can just open up File Hide Expert and see all the files you don’t want them to see in one easy-to-access list. A smart idea will be to use File Hide Expert’s password capabilities.

Tap the Menu button and then Settings. The very first option will be to enable a password. Check that box, and you’ll be prompted to enter a password to use. Be careful not to forget this, because you’ll need to use it every time you boot up File Hide Expert. You don’t want to get into a situation where you can’t restore the files you’ve hidden!

2. How to Hide Photos

Now, although File Hide Expert technically works for any kind of file you can imagine, it’s not really the most efficient way to hide photos. If you’re the kind of person who like snapping the occasional risque pic every now and then, you might have a better experience with KeepSafe.

KeepSafe basically creates a digital vault on your phone where you can toss anything that you don’t want showing up anywhere else. You have to create a PIN to use every time you want to access your app, and it keeps all of your sensitive files in one location. There is also an option to back your private files up on the cloud, if you feel comfortable doing so. That way you can recover your lost pics if your phone gets lost or broken.

KeepSafe is rapidly becoming one of the most widely used privacy apps, and the current version is free to use with premium features available for unlocking at $4.99 a month. The cloud backup service is free, but the premium version gives you additional features like snazzy PIN theme, a fake PIN that lets users think they’ve gained access to your hidden files if they use it, and a “secret door” that disguises KeepSafe as a utility app unless you long-press on the icon. Premium members also get a “Break-in Alert” system that logs failed access attempts so that you can see if someone else has been trying to get at your private files. In addition to hiding pictures, KeepSafe can also be used as a repository for sensitive data such as passwords and ID cards.

Setting it up is a breeze. Simply download the app from the Google Play Store and the setup guide will walk you through setting up a PIN.

That accomplished, you can add any photos to KeepSafe by opening a folder and tapping the ‘add picture’ icon at the bottom right. Use the
browser to select the photos you want to hide.

Alternatively, you can add files to the vault by accessing your phone’s normal gallery, tappingthe “Share” button on the desired picture, and
selecting KeepSafe from the list of options. This will move the photo to your private collection and remove it from the gallery. Easy peasy.

3. How to Hide Apps

Ever get tired of seeing that damn NFL Mobile app that came with your phone and which you can’t uninstall without rooting? Is your app drawer getting crammed with apps that you rarely use, making it a headache to get to the ones you want? Hiding apps is a good way to clean up your app tray and keep guest users from stumbling across any apps you’d rather keep your own business.

Some stock launchers offer this functionality right out of the box. Most Samsung users, for instance, have the ability to hide apps without leaning on third party apps. If your launcher doesn’t support app hiding, give Nova Launcher a spin. It’s an excellent launcher all around, and it gives you the ability to hide apps with a simple and intuitive option.

Install Nova Launcher and open the app drawer. Navigate to Nova Settings > App & widget drawers > Hide Apps. Select the apps you want to hide, and they won’t show up on your app tray anymore.

To reveal an app again, simply return to the same menu and uncheck the desired app.

4. A Stock Fix
There’s a crazy easy way to hide whole folders without using third party apps. This simple fix will prevent photos from showing up in galleries, audio files from showing up in players, and documents from showing up in editing apps. However, the files aren’t particularly hidden, because all you’re doing is renaming the folder in such a way that Android ignores it.

Using any Android file manager, simply add a “.” to the front of the folder’s name. If you want to get super sneaky, try renaming the folder something boring like “.simdata” or “.systeminfo” or whatever.

Remember that these apps were created to keep files out of the hands of casual guest users. If someone with the right knowhow is really serious about getting at your private data, they’re going to be able to circumvent the methods these apps use to keep your files and pictures out of sight. The best security is to make sure that such people don’t get ahold of your device, and to make sure you’re using a secure lock screen. Consider hiding very sensitive content on a non-mobile device.

These are our suggestions for hiding files, photos, and apps. Do you have privacy methods that you prefer over these? If so, let us know which ones and why in the comments!

Android 6.0 Marshmallow now rolling out now to Verizon’s Galaxy Note Edge

Verizon started updating its carrier-branded version of the Galaxy Note 4 to Marshmallow last week, and now it is  rolling out Marshmallow to its Samsung Galaxy Note Edge devices. The new update (known as MMB29M.N915VVRU2CPD1) not only brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the Note Edge but it also brings a few other enhancements such as Wi-Fi calling, a new app icon and folder design, Android for Work, as well as Ultra-High-Quality Audio (UHQA) mode.

According to Verizon’s release notes the new Ultra-High-Quality Audio enhancements improves the sound quality for any file type to bring it nearer to Audiophile level quality. At the same time, Verizon has opted to no longer pre-install Amazon Music. Coincidence surely?

As well as Android for Work and UHQA, the Verizon branded Note Edge will also get the normal Marshmallow features, such as Google Now on Tap, Doze mode, application permissions and much more.

Since the jump up to Marshmallow is quite large, you’ll want to make sure you’re on a steady Wi-Fi connection and that your battery has sufficient charge. It’s also worth noting that these updates might not reach your device for a few days, so don’t worry if the update isn’t available for your device yet. However when it does arrive, you’ll receive a notification that there’s a new software update available. Tap Install Now to continue with installation. The device will power off and back on and the installation process will begin.

If you want to manually check if the update is available for your handset then go to About phone->Software updates in the Settings. Then tap Check for updates. If your Note Edge finds a new software update, tap Download now. When the download is complete, tap Install update.

Have you received this update yet? If so, let us know how you’re liking Marshmallow in the comments below!

How to Get Upto 11GB with Just N1000 on Mtn StartPack

This is not a tweak nor a cheat but simple application of common sense. I’ll just go straight to the point and make it simpler and understandable as possible.

You can either get 10GB or 11.5GB depending on what satisfies. but I think you'll love 11.5GB.
It is not something strange but what you already know… just to add a little more honey to change the taste.

I’m sure you remember MTN StartPack that gives you 6times recharge for the first 6 months of use.  It’s now performing some common sense miracle so I need you to read carefully.

What Do I Need?
=>A new Sim,
=>Get it register and activated.

Steps on how to Get the 11.5GB For Just N1,000
1. No need to migrate to any package, just leave it to the package it came with
2. Recharge N100 and you’ll be given N500 to call and browse
3. Don’t use it for calling, Just use it for browsing
4. N500 bonus will give you 1GB data

RIP to Blackberry as BlackBerry Priv disappears from T- Mobile’s website

’s almost hard to believe, but at this point in time last year the mobile tech world was seemingly salivating at the prospect of the BlackBerry “Venice”, the device that would eventually go on to be branded as the Priv. The prospect was set to shake up the Android world something fierce and even featured a strangely familiar face to boot.

Fast forward to June 2016 and not only has BlackBerry’s first Android phone failed to thrive, and this has now resulted in at least one service provider deciding to drop the device: By all accounts, it looks like the Uncarrier has unfriended Waterloo’s offering, as the Priv is no longer listed on T-Mobile’s website.

In fact, not only has the Priv disappeared but even should one follow a manual link to the product page, they will be merely greeted with a blank, generic “BlackBerry” listing page. This of course, makes sense given that T-Mobile doesn’t have any other BlackBerry products to offer.

The spiral

The news comes just days after a report surfaced which indicated a high-level AT&T executive described the BlackBerry Priv as “really struggling”. Said executive also told CNET that AT&T has been seeing “more returns than [it] would like”. Given the well documented trouble with the Priv’s sales this shouldn’t come as a surprise, either, however it is clear there is trouble brewing on more than one front.

Perhaps more curiously however, whereas AT&T was offering the Priv from its release back in November of last year, T-Mobile didn’t begin to sell it until the end of January 2016, which means the device has only been available to its customers for just under half a year at this point. The fact that John Ledger’s company is still charging $529.99 for a Galaxy S5 – released in early 2014 – and that said product is an active SKU to boot, serves to cast an even darker shadow over the potential problems posed by the Priv.

“Crazy” cost
Arguably the biggest culprit for the BlackBerry Priv’s poor performance may be its pricing, with the device retailing for over $700 when it first hit stores last year. This high figured cost was something that was replicated in other territories as well, including the more price-sensitive market of India, where lower cost devices have been thriving.

That BlackBerry could ask such a high amount for a product made of plastic was all the more difficult given that last year saw many metal made devices, and even Samsung had finally gone to glass. The fact that BlackBerry had zero Android presence as well meant that anyone curious about the offering might have been dissuaded due to the high cost of entry.

Still, the Priv was BlackBerry’s first Android device and therefore it can’t be faulted too harshly for having miscalculated, at least from the view of one without vested stakes in the company and product’s performance. The Venice sure did get a heaping helping of hype and had many people talking about it online. It’s likely that whatever market testing Waterloo did was met with similar enthusiasm. In addition there are supply chain and manufacturing costs that have to be considered in making a brand new device, especially one that made use of a dual curved display.

Wrap up

BlackBerry CEO, John Chen, has made statements that indicate his company plans to bring out two new products in the current fiscal year, though of a more mid-range affair. If this week is any indication however, it may be more difficult to sell them to the sellers themselves – i.e. the carriers – given the souring grapes that have been over-ripened by the ongoing Priv problems.

While it’s possible T-Mobile will put the Priv back on its website in the coming days or weeks, chances are seemingly slim of any such doing. What do you think? Is this just the latest in a string of problems for the Priv or do you feel the device has been misunderstood by the market? Leave a comment below!

Check out the New Look of Twitter Android App

Eventually, Twitter now has a cloth design! They've completely revamped their Android app to consist of big adjustments. The lasr time it made a change similar to this one was in 2013.

The new look now has a Google-like left-sided navigational drawer that you can slide to get to your settings, you now have new columns for timeline, moments, notifications, and direct message and a simple swipe will get you in between each column, and for those times you need to quickly send a tweet, just hit the Floating action button which will bring in a little floating blue circle in the bottom right corner.

If you don’t like it, I don’t know why you wouldn’t, you might want to steer clear of the update button.
