Nokia Sets to produce Two new Smartphones Running on Android 7.0 Nougat

Lots of rumors has been circulating on Nokia next android device but below is what is confirmed about the next generation Nokia smartphone in which HMD Global Oy is currently working on two Android smartphones that will be released under the umbrella of Nokia brand name.



If this information is correct, then the company’s big break is finally around the corner. Two phones manufactured by Foxconn are to be expected and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat based on Nokia Launcher Z with IP68 certification. They will also feature AMOLED display panels with QuadHD resolution.

Both phones will be powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor. The smaller one will come with a 5.2-inch screen, while the bigger model will have a 5.5-inch screen. Nokiapoweruser remarks that the sensors on both devices are likely to be the “most sensitive ever and will be based upon Nokia’s extensive research on wonder material Graphene.”

HMD global Oy, a Finnish based company purchased part of Nokia’s phone assets from Microsoft Mobile in May. The company will have marketing and distributing rights to the smartphones. In a previously released statement, the company has this to say:

HMD has been founded to provide a focused, independent home for a full range of Nokia-branded feature phones, smartphones and tablets. HMD’s new smartphone and tablet portfolio will be based on Android, uniting one of the world’s iconic mobile brands with the leading mobile operating system and app development community.




Concerning the actual release date, there are speculations that it may be before this year runs out or early next year. The two smartphones are expected to launch in China, and the bigger version will have a price tag of $500.
