New Sandisk dual-USB flash drive offers 128 GB of high-speed USB Type-C data transfer

At Computex 2016, Western Digital, Sandisk’s new parent company, has announced a new high capacity, ultra-fast dual-USB flash drive. The Sandisk Ultra Dual-Drive USB Type-C flash drive comes in capacities up to 128 GB with retractable dual-USB connectors and USB 3.1 data transfer speeds of up to 150 Mbps.

While it’s arguably cooler to share everything wirelessly between devices, sometimes you just need the tried and true method of plugging something in and dumping stuff on it. For those of us that are transferring things between devices a million times a day – whether it’s music, APKs, screenshots, PDFs or screen recordings – a dual-USB flash drive with both a Type-C and Type-A plug is essential.

With an impressive upper-limit capacity of 128 GB, the new Sandisk drive is likely to be the only thumb drive you’ll need for rapidly transferring data between your USB Type-C equipped smartphone and your laptop (or microUSB-equipped phone via a USB OTG cable). If you don’t have a USB Type-C device yet, chances are you soon will, with analysts predicting 800% growth in the next four years.

The Sandisk Ultra Dual-Drive USB Type-C flash drive is available now from Amazon via the button below at the following capacities and price points: 16 GB ($14.99), 32 GB ($19.99), 64 GB ($32.99) and 128 GB ($55.99). The RRP for each capacity is $19.99, $29.99, $39.99 and $69.99 so, as usual, Amazon is your best bet for picking one up.
